Saxa Regis Council No. 204 – April 2026
On Tuesday 28th April Saxa Regis Council No. 204 held a very enjoyable, friendly and enlightening Cryptic meeting at The Gordon Centre, Bognor Regis.

In attendance was Ill.Comp. Ivor Bennett, P.A.G.D.C. District Grand Principal Conductor of the Work, accompanied by a small team of District Officers. District Grand Chaplain, Ill.Comp. Roy Blunden, P.G.Cond.C., District Grand Recorder, Ill.Comp. Paul Brennan, P.A.G.D.C., District Deputy Grand Director of Ceremonies, Ill.Comp. James McKenna, P.A.G.D.C., and District Assistant Grand Director of Ceremonies, Ill.Comp. Geoffery Field.
Special mention was made of the Past District Executive present, V.Ill.Comp. Thomas Harty, P.G.Lect. P.Dep.Dist.G.M. and Ill.Comp. Glen Coneley, P.G.Cond.C. P.Dep.Dist.G.M., also, not forgetting the long-lost Companion from France V.Ill.Comp. Alan Trotter, P.G.Lect..
The Companions then acknowledge the newly promoted and appointed Grand Officers, Ill.Comp. Andrew Kilvington, P.G.Cond.C. and Ill.Comp. Derrick Simpson, P.A.G.D.C..

Ill.Comp. Ivor Bennett, P.A.G.D.C., Dist.G.P.C.W. had the very pleasurable task of presenting the Council with their Grand Masters Keystone Fund Jewel, as well as a Grand Council Certificate to Comp. Paul. Norman.

The Trice Illustrious Master Ill.Comp. Andy Kilvington performed an excellent Select Master ceremony for the new Comp. Roger Gordon, assisted by Ill.Comp. Glen Coneley, who dramatically and theatrically presented the Lecture of the Degree.
Then followed a superb Royal Master Degree for Comp. Roger, led by V.Ill.Comp. Tom Harty. The most beautiful and meaningful piece of ritual in Freemasonry is part of the Royal Master Degree, and it was expertly delivered by Comp. Russell Chambers.

The whole meeting and the festive board afterwards demonstrated why the Royal and Select Masters Degree is the final piece in the Jigsaw, that links Craft and Mark Masonry to the Royal Arch.
